Christian Writers Retreats
I had the great privilege of being a guest on Thomas Umstattd Jr.’s podcast, The Christian Publishing Show, talking about why those in the writing and publishing community need a writers retreat. You can listen to it on the Steve Laube Agency blog. If you need some time to get away from life, refocus on your goals, connect with God, and connect with other writers who understand you, a writers retreat may be just the ticket.
The timing of this podcast was perfect because I just returned from three glorious days at the Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center (not counting travel days) preparing for the Christian Writers Retreat coming up in less than two months! It was wonderful seeing my old colleagues. And strolling those beautiful trails among the California coastal redwoods, streams, and waterfalls truly refreshed my soul.
There was just one thing missing: my friends from the writing and publishing community! That’s why I’m really looking forward to the Christian Writers Retreat at Mount Hermon November 5-7.
We have a tentative schedule on the website, www.ChristianWritersRetreat.com, but I’ll be adding some small-group sessions based on what attendees request.
Check out the Lodging page to see pricing and housing options. If you want to extend the time of your retreat, there are off-site lodging possibilities too.
If you can’t get away from your responsibilities that weekend or are unable to travel, you can enjoy the Mount Hermon Christian Writers Retreat as a personal or small-group event in or near your home! Sign up for the PERSONAL RETREAT on the Options page of our website, and we’ll send you a link and a code so you can access the speakers’ presentations live or watch the recorded videos whenever works best for you (through December 31). We will send you a PDF of the retreat booklet, a playlist of worship songs, and pictures of Mount Hermon to enhance your experience.Have the retreat in your home or at a park, hotel, or B&B. Do it alone with God or invite writer friends to join you.
If you haven’t registered yet, now’s the time, as prices will be going up a bit on October 5 (for both the in-person and virtual retreat). Registration deadline for the in-person retreat is October 19. Visit www.ChristianWritersRetreat.com for details or to register.
