Early-Bird Pricing Still Available for Editors’ Convention
In celebration of The Christian PEN’s tenth anniversary, we are hosting an editors’ convention in Southern California April 23-25, 2014.
“Keys to Successful Freelance Editing” is an event for editorial freelancers or anyone who’d like to learn about becoming a freelance editor. The convention will include a meet-and-greet for PEN members on Wednesday night followed by a full-day program of presentations that is open the public, including:
- Kathy Ide: Proofreading and Networking
- Cecil Murphey: Ghostwriting and Collaboration
- Alycia Morales: Substantive Editing/Critiquing
- Aaron Ganksy: Mentoring
- Christi McGuire: Social Media and Online Marketing
- Jeanne Marie Leach: “From the Editor’s Desk”
We’ll wrap up Friday morning with more talks, followed by an afternoon of book signings at Family Christian Bookstore in Santa Ana.
Early-bird registration is $100 before March 1. After that, registration is $125. Price includes lunch, dinner, and snacks on Thursday. Lodging and transportation is up to individual participants.
