Excellence in Editing Awards

I so enjoyed getting together with my editor friends and colleagues earlier this month at the Hotel Preston in Nashville for the sixth annual PENCON editors conference.

On the last night of the conference, we announced the finalists in the 2019 Excellence in Editing Awards. This award celebrates newly released books that are superbly written, well edited, and published by a CBA publisher or self-published by a Christian author. It is sponsored by the Christian Editor Connection. We understand that it takes a team to produce a well-written and well-edited book, so we honor the authors, editors, and publishers on those teams.

The EIE judging panel consists of CEC editors who are currently working in the Christian publishing industry. Judging is based on organization of content, flow, clarity, tight writing, accuracy, consistency, lack of typos, and proper use of industry-standard guidelines for punctuation, usage, grammar, and spelling.
