I am thrilled to announce the launch of Christian Editor Network LLC. More than a year of planning has gone into this new business, and I am excited to see what God does with it.

The Christian Editor Network LLC will be run by three business partners: myself, Jenne Acevedo (director of The Christian PEN: Proofreaders and Editors Network), and Christi McGuire (director of the Christian Editor Connection). It is the parent company to four entities:

My vision to create a community for Christian editors began in 2004 with the launch of The Christian PEN: Proofreaders and Editors Network. As it grew, I saw the need to connect authors with established, professional editors and created the Christian Editor Connection. To celebrate the ten-year anniversary of The Christian PEN in 2014, the first editors’ convention was held in Southern California. On the last day, it was dubbed PENCON and the decision was made to make it an annual event, with subsequent conferences held in Austin and Colorado Springs. Our fourth PENCON will be held in Atlanta in May 2017.

Education has always been a key part of what we do at The Christian PEN, so we have created a separate entity for it. The PEN Institute will continue to feature our current online courses (with updated material) but will also offer more learning opportunities for freelance editors, in-house editors at publishing houses, and early readers/editors who work for agents in the Christian industry. We will now offer three options for courses. Each will be available as a Lesson Pack (material without feedback), a Group Instruction course (forum-based with instructor feedback and homework assignments, and scheduled throughout the year), and Individual Mentoring (one-on-one learning with the instructor).

I am excited about the Christian Editor Network LLC and hope to reach more Christian editors worldwide as we expand our business in the months and years ahead. Please join me in praying for this new season of growth and change.
