Value of a Professional Critique

Doing something different with my blog this week. Instead of posting my usual PUGS Pointers or related information, I’m asking for feedback from my readers!

I’m in need of some quotes about the value of a professional critique (not a copyedit, but an overall critique) of a proposal, book chapters, or a complete manuscript. If you send me something in your own words, and I decide to use it, I’ll be happy to give you credit (and a link). If you send me a quote from someone else, please cite the source.
