Do you have an idea for a nonfiction book but are unsure how to structure it in a way that will work? This one-on-one and small-group mentoring session will help you write an appealing first chapter and create an outline and chapter summaries for what follows.
Register by July 1. First-come, first-served until we reach 10 participants.
On July 6, Joseph Bentz will lead a live video session with all participants on how to write a compelling first chapter and how to determine the structure of the book that will spring from it.
You will have until July 20 to write a draft of your first chapter. Joseph Bentz will be available via email to guide you along the way.
On July 21, the group will meet again to discuss how to structure an outline and chapter summaries.
By July 30, you will submit your first chapter, outline, and chapter summaries to Joseph Bentz. Once he has read those, he will meet with you for a sixty-minute one-on-one video session to give feedback.

For an additional $100, you can schedule a follow-up online session with Joseph Bentz one month later to go over your revised first chapter, outline, and chapter summaries.
About Joseph Bentz

Joseph Bentz is the author of seven nonfiction books, including 8 Old Testament Passages that Changed the World, which will be released by The Foundry Publishing in the fall of 2021. He has also published four novels and a wide variety of articles. Bentz is a professor of English at Azusa Pacific University, where he teaches writing and American literature and serves as a faculty fellow in the Honors College.
